This song, for me, was all about  realization. Being thrown in head first into the real world and realizing it is not as rosy as you thought.
This took me back to my first day of boarding school and then just lead me down to the first days of other things in the real world. I talk about how bleak things can get, when you are left to fend for yourself and then slide on to eventually coming into your own
