Afro-soul singer/songwriter Maka reunites with longtime collaborator producer/DJ Teck-Zilla for her latest project entitled ‘Moments In Motion.’ The 7 track body of work is a nod to the idea that music is a fluid and dynamic art form, constantly in motion, just like the moments and emotions captured in each track. 

The project opens up with “Attention”, where Maka addresses the rise of internet trolls and detractors who try to garner attention by underhanded means.Over ominous pads, punchy percussive drums and rich layered guitars, Maka effortlessly carry the track with a laidback and emotive oomph while reminding the naysayers to find a better way to get her attention because she is not having it. 
“Sweet” is a smooth afro-jazz ballad that sees Maka pouring adulations on her significant other and points out all the good things he does to make her fulfilled. This is followed by the energetic “Super Star Things”  where she embodies her true nature as a gifted individual who will not dim her light for anyone. The track is bolstered by the Super Mario Invincible star-inspired aesthetic that alludes to Maka being unstoppable in what she does.
On “JFD” aka Jokes For Days, Maka shows her versatility with her vocal range and songwriting. Over the smooth soulful sample, she paints a hilarious picture of her ex who literally has jokes for days with his lack of emotion. Maka doesn’t hold back and throws some hilarious quips such as “I dey wonder, boy, do you got shxt for brains?” and wraps it up by kicking him to the curb.
The fun starts again on the bright and upbeat “Zero,” a track that dwells on self-love and peace of mind and sees Maka avoiding all types of bullsh-t and negative vibes.
In the skit “He Loves Jesus Now,” the singer explains how a relationship took a different route after she and her partner decided to find God in their respective ways.  The project closes out with the fun-filled go-getter anthem titled “Money” which celebrates wealth and success. She is joined by Lagos-based rapper Yazzavelli who accentuates the theme with her sultry vocals and secure-the-bag demeanour.

Overall, Maka brings something refreshing with her unpredictable and engaging songwriting and vocal runs as she singlehandedly carries the multi-layered afro pop-infused production laid before her. 
The title implies that the album takes a multifaceted approach to exploring these themes, showcasing different perspectives and experiences.
